Luttrell Releases Statement on Being Sworn In for Second Term

January 3, 2025

WASHINGTON – Congressman Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) was sworn into the 119th Congress to serve his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“It is honor and privilege to once again take the oath of office and serve the people of Texas’ 8th Congressional District in Congress,” said Congressman Luttrell. “Over the past two years, we focused on addressing the issues that matter most to Texans—securing our border, standing up for our veterans, and defending our constitutional freedoms. But there’s still work to be done, and I’m not here to sit on the sidelines. I’ll never stop working to protect the values that make Texas and our nation exceptional.”

Congressman Morgan Luttrell will serve on the House Armed Services Committee, House Veterans Affairs Committee, and Committee on Homeland Security. Additionally, Congressman Luttrell will serve as Chairman of Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs Subcommittee on House Veterans Affairs Committee.
