Luttrell Votes to Deliver President Trump’s Agenda in One Bill
WASHINGTON – Congressman Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) voted in favor of the House Concurrent Budget Resolution (H. Con. Res. 14) for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25). The resolution instructs various committees to find savings and make meaningful investments within their jurisdictions.
“This budget resolution delivers real savings while making critical investments where they matter most -- securing our border, supporting our military, and keeping our economy strong,” said Congressman Luttrell. “It ensures we don’t raise taxes on American families by renewing President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and cutting unnecessary spending. Texans expect us to lead with fiscal responsibility and national security in mind, and that’s exactly what this resolution does.”
The budget resolution mandates at least $1.5 trillion in savings over the next decade. It allocates up to $300 billion for border security and defense, including $100 billion in the Armed Services Committee and $90 billion in the Homeland Security Committee. Additionally, it ensures taxes will not be raised by renewing President Trump’s Tas Cuts and Jobs Act.
