Luttrell Votes to Protect Service Members and Prevent Government Shutdown

WASHINGTON — Congressman Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 5371, the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026, which funds the federal government until November 21, 2025:

"While it's unfortunate that Congress must rely on another continuing resolution, this clean CR maintains essential government functions and provides uninterrupted federal support for our service members and veterans. We must return to regular order and restore our constitutional appropriations process. This two-month extension allows us to complete that work responsibly."
