The House Homeland Security Committee announced a new leadership slate for the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Innovation Subcommittee on Friday, with Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.) now serving as its chairman.

Six new members of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee are veterans, including three former Navy SEALs.

Their appointments were announced Jan. 25. They are:

House Republicans unveiled the new members for the House Armed Services Committee and the HASC’s new subcommittee chairpersons Jan. 25, elevating Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Va.) to be the committee’s vice chairman behind chairman Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) and also naming Wittman to lead the Tactical Air and Land Forces subcommittee.

‘THE ADMINISTRATION HAS DITHERED’: It was always the case that Ukraine would need modern tanks to prevail on the battlefield over Russia, and it was always the case that providing those tanks would be a complex task requiring training for tank crews and maintainers and the establishment of logistics supply lines to keep the tanks running through the rigors of combat.

The Republican Steering Committee yesterday handed down committee assignments for new and returning GOP House members, including for the Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, Armed Services and Judiciary Committees. While the assignments must still be ratified by the House GOP conference, they’re unlikely to see major changes. Here are the new additions to these key committees:
